I am pleased to inform that the Committee on Members in Industry- Training and Placement entrusted to me by the President, ICMAI and the new Council, has started its agenda right earnestly to achieve its following goals:
- Enhancing the Institute’s linkage with the Industry to understand their expectations from the Institute;
- Working with the Members working in Industry and in Service to use their expertise for the growth of our profession and Institute;
- Adding value to the final qualified budding CMAs in terms of enhancing their confidence level before they enter into professional domain;
- Pitching the Campus Placement Programme of the Institute in such a way to provide a good platform for the interested CMAs to build their career;
You might have seen that, with the cooperation from the President, Vice- President and other Council Members, the Committee could organise CFO/HR Meets in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata during the month of September 2015. The theme for this meet was “Conversion of potential Talent into required Talent”. During this meet, we could discuss with around 150 veterans from the industry and understand their expectations. The talking points in these meets will go a long way in shaping the policies of the Institute.
The much awaited Campus Placement Programme for June 2015 final qualified students have been scheduled in the following 4 locations during the months of Oct/Nov 2015:
Chennai 10 & 11 Oct 2015
Mumbai 16 & 17 Oct 2015
Delhi 31 Oct and 1 Nov 2015
Kolkata 6 and 7 Nov 2015.
We invite all the Industries and Corporate to visit our campuses and find their future Managers amongst the CMA Talent Pool.
To enhance the confidence level of June 2015 final qualified CMAs, for the first time “15 days Pre - Placement Orientation Practical Training Program” was organised by the Committee in 8 different locations viz., Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Vijayawada, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar and Jaipur.
The Programme which was inaugurated by our respected President, CMA P V Bhattad Ji, on 6/9/2015 successfully concluded on 5/10/2015.
The Programme has been received well by all the 787 participants. The feedback received from the participating students is really encouraging and really shows the success of this initiative. The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the activate participation of the respective Regional Councils and Chapters.
We would like to thank the Chairman, Members and officials of the Regional Councils of SIRC, EIRC, WIRC, NIRC and Chairman and Managing Committee Members of the Chapters of Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur and Vijayawada for their un- relented guidance and support to make the program a great success. We are thankful to all the officials of Directorate of Training and Placement of the Institute headed by Senior Director, CMA L Gurumurthy Ji for their efforts to make the events a successful one. We are sure the participating CMAs would have gained much from this program and would be in a better position to enter the professional world.
We are delighted to inform that many more initiatives have been planned to meet the objectives of the Committee and announcements will be made soon on many more events.
We are sure that the Committee will receive all your support and guidance in taking our profession to new heights.
