Inviting Public Comments on amendment of Regulation 89 of CWA Regulations, 1959 i.e. shifting of headquarters of the Council from Kolkata to Delhi

This is to inform the general public that the Council of the Institute has decided to amend Regulation 89 of the Cost and Works Accountants Regulations, 1959 i.e. shifting of headquarters of the Council from Kolkata to Delhi.

 

In this regard, the Council also decided to conduct a referendum from members of the Institute for shifting headquarters of the Council from Kolkata to Delhi.

 

The said referendum was carried out by Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on 12th February, 2024 at 9 a.m. and concluded on 14th February, 2024 at 8.59 a.m., and 93.8% of members who participated in the referendum have given their assent to the resolution that the Headquarters of the Council shall be located at Delhi.

 

The proposed amendment is as follows:

Regulation 89. Location of the office of the Council. - The headquarters of the Council shall be located at Delhi.

 

Comments in respect of the said proposed amendment in Regulation 89, for consideration by the Council of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, can be made within 30 days of issue of this notice, to email: cwr2024@icmai.in or in hard copy addressed to the Secretary, The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, CMA Bhawan, 12, Sudder Street, Kolkata – 700 016.
