Dr. Simrit Kaur is presently the Principal of Sri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. Prior to this Dr. Kaur was at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, where she taught courses such as 'The Economic Theory of a Firm', 'Macro Economics' and 'Public Policy Reforms'.
She supervises research scholars in areas like Development Economics, Environmental Economics and Disinvestment and Mergers & Acquisitions. Nominated by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, she has been a 'Visiting Professor' at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and a 'Visiting Scholar' at Kingston University, London. She has participated in the International Teachers Program at the Kellogg School of Business, Chicago.
Mrs. Simrit Kaur has been an advisor to Institutions such as Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, both of the Government of India, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), International Fund for Agricultural Development and The Food and Agriculture Organization.
In addition, she has presented several papers at national and international conferences.
