Dear CMA Colleague,
Greetings from the Institute!
We are pleased to inform you that the Institute is organizing a Half day Seminar on “International Taxation and Transfer Pricing” on Tuesday, 22nd March 2016 at 05:00 p.m. at Conference Hall- 1, India Islamic Cultural Centre, 87-88, Lodhi Road, New Delhi , followed by dinner.
As the global economy expands into every corner of the world, many national fiscal authorities are seeking more effective ways to protect their tax bases.
In an era of fiscal shortfalls, tax authorities see transfer pricing as a soft target, and more and more countries are introducing law for transfer pricing.
The need for rigid transfer pricing mechanisms arise as many multinational organizations use tax planning strategies to exploit gaps and mismatches in tax rules of different countries to make profits evaporate for tax purposes or transfer profits to locations where the tax rates are low. As a result the pricing mechanisms are a way to seek ‘tax shelter’ or ‘tax evasion’. The extension of transfer pricing provisions to domestic transactions has further enhanced the compliance requirements for various organizations.
This programme will help the Senior & Middle Management Employees serving in various Industries, Members- CMAs and Practicing CMAs members to get an overview, capacity building and attain knowledge in Transfer Pricing and International Taxation Practices in India. In this rising area, CMAs can play a role in revenue enhancement and minimizing revenue leakage of the Government.
