Dr. M.S. Sahoo, an acclaimed thought leader in the area of securities markets and a distinguished public servant, currently serves as Chairperson of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. He has served as a Member of the Competition Commission of India, Secretary of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Whole Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, Economic Adviser with the National Stock Exchange of India and held senior positions in Government of India as a Member of Indian Economic Service. He also had eventful legal practice.
He has substantially influenced reforms in India securities markets over the last two decades. He has conceptualized, designed and steered major reforms such as dematerialisation of securities, architecture of regulator and regulatory tribunal, trading of derivatives, on-line examination for market professionals, setting up National Institute of Securities Markets, resolution of litigations relating to brokers' fee, demutualization of stock exchanges, trading of currency derivatives, and the rule of law in securities markets.
Dr. M.S. Sahoo has been a Member / Chairman of several committees set up by Ministry of Finance, SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, and WDRA. These include Chairman of the Committees on Depository Receipts, Domestic and Overseas Capital Markets, and External Commercial Borrowing. He has assisted in development and refinement of the Indian Financial Code (IFC) recommended by the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission. He has also served on Boards of a few organisations, including Oriental Bank of Commerce, Management Development Institute, National Institute of Securities Markets, SEBI and CCI.

Mr. Brian McEnery is the Global President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He is one of the country's leading insolvency practitioners with over 15 years specialised experience and has been involved with numerous high profile cases and clients.
Brian has held a number of directorships including semi-state companies. He specialises in healthcare consulting and corporate recovery.
He has held a vast range of insolvency positions, including examiner, receiver manager and liquidator. He has dealt with various technical and emerging issues in his preparation and submission of liquidator’s reports to the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement under Section 56 and S150 declarations.
Brian regularly undertakes a variety of assignments on behalf of clients in the healthcare sector. In 2009 and 2010 he worked with over 70 nursing homes preparing a cost model for each nursing home and negotiated rates with the National Treatment Purchase Fund for long term care. In 2007 Brian completed a Fair Price Calculation Model for Ireland on behalf of Age Action Ireland and published the Cost of Care Report, Ireland’s first authoritative Cost of Care Model for long term care in residential settings.

Dr. Simrit Kaur is presently the Principal of Sri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. Prior to this Dr. Kaur was at the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, where she taught courses such as 'The Economic Theory of a Firm', 'Macro Economics' and 'Public Policy Reforms'.
She supervises research scholars in areas like Development Economics, Environmental Economics and Disinvestment and Mergers & Acquisitions. Nominated by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, she has been a 'Visiting Professor' at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and a 'Visiting Scholar' at Kingston University, London. Gupta currently working as Professor of Cardiology & Medical Sciences in GB Pant Hospital did his posts graduation and super specialization from Maulana Azad medical college and associated Lok Nayak Hospital and GB Pant Hospital. Youngest member of the faculty, Dr Gupta has a distinct achievement of getting more than 18 gold medals and 5 silver medals in his medical career. He was honoured by the hospital for outstanding services to the patients for the year 2005. In October 2006, he has been awarded young scientist of the year by association of physicians of India. Mr. B.N Sharma Chairman -National Anti- Profiteering Authority
The Centre has appointed senior IAS officer BN Sharma as the first Chairman of the National Anti-Profiteering Authority under the newly introduced Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Mr. B.N. Sharma, a 1985 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer, is currently posted as Additional Secretary in the revenue department in the Finance Ministry.
He will hold the rank of Secretary to Government of India while serving as the Chairman of the Authority, which has been set up for a two-year period.
The National Anti-Profiteering Authority has been mandated to ensure that the benefits of input credit and the reduction in GST rates on specified goods or services are passed on to the consumers by way of a commensurate reduction in prices.

CMA Upender Gupta is the Commissioner (GST), CBEC. He belongs to the 1990 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise). He has served in various capacities in numerous wings of CBEC and also at different stations throughout the country.
He is also a fellow member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
As Commissioner, GST Policy Wing, which is the policy-making Wing of CBEC, in relation to GST, he has spearheaded the entire process of law making which included drafting the GST laws, rules, procedures and processes.
He has played a key role in defining and finalization of various GST business process documents.
He was responsible for presenting the GST Laws, Rules and procedures before the GST Council for its approval.
As member of the Committee on Model GST Law and the Committee on Model GST Rules, he has participated extensively in the deliberations and drafting of the Model GST law and the rules. He has actively participated in the development of the GST payment system and Governmental Accounting System under GST.
Being part of the GST process for the last five years, he has been actively involved in the business processes as developed by the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers (EC) on various aspects of GST. He has been an active member of virtually all the Committees constituted by CBEC, EC or GST Council in connection with GST. As a member of the Committee on Place of Supply Rules, he was instrumental in finalizing the said Rules.
He has been a member of the Core Group headed by the Finance Secretary which is tasked to oversee the launch and the smooth implementation of GST.
He was also awarded with an Appreciation Certificate for “Specially distinguished record of service” on the occasion of Republic Day, 2016 by the Hon’ble President of India.

Mr. Partha Basu handled various portfolios in different capacities including his work at IFB - BOSCH, TRF Ltd., Autoliv IFB India Ltd., and Coca-Cola (India). He spent five years with Coca-Cola (India) and was responsible for setting up of financial systems in various regions and later served as its Country Head for Supply Chain and Logistics Management. Mr. Partha Basu served as an Executive Chairman and Whole Time Director of The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited . He also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from IIM Kolkata and graduated from St Xavier’s’ College Kolkata. Shri Vivekanand is Director (Finance) in ONGC Videsh Limited, a Government of India company operating in international oil & gas sector. The company currently has 40 projects in 19 countries.
Shri Vivekanand is a Fellow member of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is also post-graduate in Commerce, Master of Business Administration in Finance and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Treasury & Forex Management.
Shri Vivekanand has experience of over 33 years as Finance & Accounting professional in upstream oil and gas industry. He joined ONGC in 1984 and worked across different spheres of finance and accounting activities. He has handled key finance assignments related to Treasury, Taxation, Risk Management, Business Development, Overseas projects and various other corporate functions including, Accounting, Marketing etc. Shri Vivekanand has also worked to strengthen the business processes and systems of the Company through a systematic approach. This includes improvement in areas of internal financial controls, risk assessment and risk ranking of projects, hedging of foreign exchange exposures etc. The company has received international awards in the area of Financing and Risk handled by him.
He has played key roles in financing campaigns of ONGC Videsh raising financing of nearly USD 7 billion during last 3-4 years. This includes borrowings in Japanese Yen of JPY 38 billion which opened a new currency window for the company for future borrowing requirements.
He has also been instrumental in optimization drive in several operated and non-operated projects of the company. Recently, his efforts led to reduction of about USD 2 billion in Capex of an initial offshore LNG project where ONGC Videsh is a non-operator partner. He has also played key role in the recent acquisitions of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) by ONGC.

Harish Chander has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate finance, fund management, restructuring, revival, and turnaround of distress assets, corporate and debt recovery laws. He has been a part of Edelweiss Alternative Assets platform and has helped setup distressed asset business with an AUM of $3 billion in less than 5 years.
Prior to Edelweiss, Mr. Harish Chander served at SBI & IDBI. He was involved in managing stressed assets of over $2 billion in SASF (IDBI). He has also practiced as an Advocate in the Supreme Court of India.

Shri. Manoj Mishra held additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (RCF). He was the ex-officio Chairman of Talchar Fertilizers Limited (TFL), a joint venture of RCF, GAIL, Coal India Limited and Fertilizer Corporation of India (FCIL) for setting up a coal based fertilizer plant at Talchar in Odisha. He was instrumental in providing pace to the project by achieving various milestones including finalization of technology for coal gasification process.
With an extensive professional experience in fertilizer industry, Shri .Manoj Mishra is well conversant with various issues related to the industry. He has been credited with creating new identity of NFL with extended product line and new ventures. He successfully transformed NFL from a single product company to an organization with stakes in various types of fertilizers, seeds, agro-chemicals and Industrial products.

Shri. Manoj Mishra has visited abroad on a number of key assignments related to fertilizer sector as well as for exploring trade opportunities. He had been to Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Algeria, Morocco, Russia and other African countries in connection with exploring business opportunities in fertilizer sector.
Shri Manoj Mishra is Co-Chairman of Fertiliser Association of India (FAI), a body which represents fertiliser industry in India. He is also a Director on the Board of International Fertilizer Association (IFA), a Paris based organization that represents the Global Fertilizer Industry. He is the first ever executive from Indian Fertilizer Public Sector Undertakings to hold this prestigious position in IFA.
